Tim co-founded Carolon Capital with the vision of creating a unique financial services firm - one that applies a high-touch partnership mentality across a unique breadth of service offerings. His experience spans private markets, financial services and asset management. Tim brings a unique entrepreneurial attitude to Carolon's clients and he combines it with a highly technical approach.
Tim is also the COO & CFO of StepStone Private Wealth, an investment platform that provides access to private markets investments – private equity, infrastructure, real estate and private debt – for high net worth individuals and smaller institutions. Prior to co-founding Carolon Capital, Tim was the CEO of Conversus Capital, L.P., a publicly traded company which specialised in the management of third party private equity funds. Tim helped found Conversus Capital and was a driving force behind its $1.9 billion IPO. He subsequently managed all facets of Conversus Capital's strategic, operations, finance, treasury and investor relations activities.
Prior to Conversus Capital, Tim was an executive with Bank of America as well as Instinet Group and he worked in public accounting with two of the 'Big Four', where he specialised in the banking, insurance and asset management sectors. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree with honours from the University of Virginia as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Richmond.
